Charles Bridge
You will be hard pressed to find any Prague tours that do not include a trip to Charles Bridge! Crowds here can number in the hundreds at one time and the largest number of recorded tourists on the bridge at once occurred in 1989, when the number was 1562. The bridge is 1600 feet long, so that number represented almost one person per foot!

Dancing House

The Dancing House is a distinctive modern building on Prague’s Rašínovo Embankment, beside the Vltava River, recognized for its unusual pair of towers that appear to lean and curve toward each other. Designed by architects Vlado Milunić and Frank Gehry, the building combines a glass tower with a more solid stone-clad tower, creating the impression of two figures in motion. Its nickname refers to the dancers Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. The building contains offices, a restaurant, and a hotel, while its upper terrace provides views across the Vltava toward Prague Castle and the historic city centre.

Strahov Monastery library

The Strahov Monastery Library in Prague is one of the city’s most important historic collections, housed within the Premonstratensian monastery complex on Strahov Hill. Its two principal halls, the Baroque Theological Hall and the Classicalist Philosophical Hall, are known for richly decorated ceilings, carved wooden shelving, frescoes, and globes. The library preserves more than 200,000 books, including medieval manuscripts, early printed works, and theological and philosophical texts. Visitors can view the interiors and selected collections from the adjoining gallery rather than freely entering the historic halls, while the monastery complex also includes the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and the Strahov Picture Gallery.

Saint Vitus Cathedral,

St. Vitus Cathedral is the largest and most important cathedral in Prague, standing within Prague Castle and serving as a major symbol of the Czech state and Christian heritage. Its Gothic architecture features a tall central nave, pointed arches, stained-glass windows, flying buttresses, and an ornate western façade. The cathedral contains the Chapel of St. Wenceslas, the tombs of Czech kings and other members of the royal family, and the Crown Chamber, where the Czech Crown Jewels are kept. Visitors can also climb the Great South Tower for views across Prague, while the cathedral’s interior includes works by artists and craftsmen from different periods.

Public Transportation
For a fast, convenient way of getting from Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG) to the city center, take the Airport Express bus (AE Express). Bus stops are located outside both Terminals 1 and 2. Buses run every 30 minutes to an hour, from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

In terms of getting around Prague, remember that the city center is compact and walkable (use taxis cautiously due to overcharging). For Prague Metro, trams and buses, your ticket or pass provides unlimited switching between the three.
Witches' Night Parade
This ancient folk event marking the end of winter is a mix of Halloween and May Day. A lantern parade culminating in burning an effigy of a witch are all part of this unusual festival.

100 Years of the French Collection
From 10/17/2023 - 10/17/2026
The "100 Years of the French Collection" event commemorates the centennial of Czechoslovakia's landmark acquisition of French art, initially facilitated by President Tomáš Garrigu Masaryk. This acquisition reflected the deep cultural connection between the young Central European state and France, enriching state art collections with works by iconic artists such as Georges Braque, Paul Cézanne, and Claude Monet. Celebrated by the National Gallery Prague through an international conference and various public events, the collection's masterpieces are prominently displayed in the Trade Fair Palace, with an audio guide available to enhance the visitor experience.
